Who's The Best Broadband Service Provider?

According to the latest JD Power & Associates Customer Satisfaction Survey, Cox ranks the highest among all broadband service providers, with Verizon, BellSouth and Brighthouse following behind. The study also found that SBC Yahoo! led the way among dial-up providers. Of course these guys are using some slick marketing by selling their customers on dial-up acceleration as sort of a gateway drug to the real deal.

You can use this Search Tool to see what is available for service in your location (includes DSL, Cable, and Satellite).

Verizon uses the phone line for its internet access. It may be broadband but it doesn't evev compare to Comcast's connection through the cable wire. Cable modems blow dsl away. I can say this because I switched from Verizon dsl to Comcast cable modem. I currently am getting 7 megs downloag and 768 upload compared to Verizon who just doubled their speed from 1.5 to 3 megs download. Wow! No wonder they rank #1, since Comcast provides more than double Verizon's speed. It's only logical. Apparently less speed = more customer satisfaction. My #1 problem with all ISP's is upload speed. When will we start to see some signifigant increases in upload speed? jizad825@yahoo.com
